Steep Slope Studio Residency Application Information
１．Period Covered:
April 1, 2007 – March 31, 2009
２．Opening Position:
One artist is to be selected. (Any nationality）
３．Qualification Requirements
a）artist in the filed of contemporary performing arts
b）willing to participate in programs and events organized by Steep Slope Studio, including workshops, talk events, educational programs, open rehearsal, etc.
c）good command of English or Japanese
４．Application Method
Application Period: January 4, 2007 – February 15, 2007
Delivery Date of Notice of Results: March 15, 2007
※The results will be delivered without prior announcement.
５．Application Materials
Residency Application Form (Please attach photo.)
Video (in DVD or VHS, of two of your main full-scale pieces at most）
Leaflet or pamphlet of your past performances (one each)
６．Selection and Notification
Application will be reviewed and the selection and the determination will be made by staff and resident artists at Steep Slope Studio.
※You will be contacted by Steep Slope Studio for confirmation of your application, where necessary.
７．Supports for the Resident Artists
・Resident artists are given priority for using studios at Steep Slope Studio without charge as their creation base during the period covered. (Long-term exclusive use of studios is limited.) ・Cooperation in production and publicity (Details will be determined through discussion with the resident artist.)
８．Activities as Resident Artist
【Activities】
As a rule, resident artists will create their works at Steep Slope Studio during the covered period and are required to willingly participate in the events and programs organized by Steep Slope Studio.
【Recording】
Steep Slope Studio will record the works and the activities of the artists in our artist-in-residence program by photography or on video. Resident artists are requested to cooperate with recording. Copyright to the works belong to the artists, however Steep Slope Studio is entitled to use the copyright in cases where such copyright is to the pictures or videos recorded by us or where such copyright is used for the purpose of publicity in the public interest. Moreover, Steep Slope Studio and the parties who have been given consent of Steep Slope Studio are entitled to use such copyright without charge.
